Corwin (Norman) is born in Boston.

Norman Corwin graduates from high school, works initially as a newspaper reporter in Western Massachusetts, then moves to New York to write for Twentieth Century Fox Studios, before moving to CBS in 1938 to work with Edward R. Murrow and Howard K. Smith. Ray Bradbury subsequently calls him “the greatest director, the greatest writer, and the greatest producer in the history of radio,” while others call him “the poet laureate of radio.” Corwin dies in Los Angeles on October 18, 2011
